Insurance partnership to reward the fleet’s investment in telematics

LEVL is teaming up with Flock, a London-based insurtech, to reward fleet operators with lower premiums by connecting to vehicle telematics systems.

Through this partnership, fleets working with reseller Geotab, such as Muller Milk & More, Prohire and Drover, can now access Flock’s data-driven fleet insurance offering.

By connecting to a vehicle’s telematics solution, the automobile policies offered by Flock are priced according to the movements of the fleets and the risks they take.

As fleets take action to improve safety, they are automatically rewarded with lower insurance rates per kilometer.

Ed Leon Klinger, CEO of Flock, explained: “Connectivity is the key to unlocking fairer and more flexible insurance. By analyzing vehicle telematics, we have helped fleets save up to 25% compared to traditional policies.

“Partnering with the world’s leading telematics providers and distributors is essential to our connected approach to insurance. That’s why today, we’re excited to partner with LEVL to help their customers save time and money, while keeping security at the heart of everything they do.

By integrating with Geotab’s telematics platform, Flock is able to provide LEVL customers with an analysis of the activity of each vehicle in a fleet to produce fleet insurance policies, based on the behavior of conduct, tailored to each company they work with.

The cost of insurance will depend on the habits and behaviors of the driver, including the speed of the driver and the routes taken, he says.

Along with insurance, fleets using Flock receive information about risks that encourage better behavior. As fleets take action to improve safety, they are automatically rewarded with lower insurance rates per kilometer.

Andrew Pearce, Director of Sales and Marketing at LEVL, said: “We are committed to adding value to our customers, and our partnership with Flock is no exception.

“Flock’s unique approach to insurance and its ability to integrate with the Geotab platform makes it easy to get started.

“Customers can benefit from a rewards-driven approach to insurance, accessing lower insurance premiums as they take action to improve the safety of their fleets and drivers. “

Flock’s partnership with LEVL is currently in effect in the UK, with the two companies planning to expand this offering to fleets across Europe in 2022.
