Google Street View biker blunder ends badly as he refuses to stray from driver
A BIZARRE video from Google Street View shows what appears to be a biker refusing to stray from a driver mapping the area – with a very odd ending.
The seven-second video was posted on Reddit and the internet is trying to figure it out.
A Reddit user called u / RhyaanB uploaded the video, showing a laptop with Google Street View of the biker being followed by the driver.
The video is titled “You are not playing with the Google Maps drivers”.
The clip begins with a man riding a bicycle on a street, which one user claims is in Brooklyn, New York.
One user said: “Brooklyn is where you can search for Assembly Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11205 and go to the very beginning of the road at the junction of Paulding St.”
Another user added that the location was the “Brooklyn Navy Yard”.
“It’s also important to note that Google Street View cars are generally not allowed inside shipyards, so someone inside the shipyard must have done it themselves.
“On mobile, it is stated that the street view was taken by an individual called Loosii Ninjas.”
The video continues with the man driving down the road while occasionally looking at the driver behind him. The pilot is not visible in the clip.
‘ACTION THRILLER FILM’
Three seconds after the start of the clip, the rider appears to be riding his bike backwards.
One commentator said: “Am I tripping or do the 7th and 8th frames show it in the opposite direction?” “
Another wrote: “In two of the shears he rides the reverse cowgirl of the scooter.”
Towards the end of the clip, the biker approaches a building garage labeled “FULLSTACK” before he appears to fall off his bike.
His bike landed next to an X marked on the street as his body fell in front of a mini tunnel.
In the last second of the clip, the man is back and runs into the tunnel, again looking over his shoulder at the car behind him.
Reddit users are trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together and figure out what’s going on.
One user wrote: “So crazy. I don’t understand what happened.
Another wrote: “What was that?”
“Google Maps is making an action thriller.”
