Google Maps Rival explains how it makes navigation easier

TomTom is currently one of the companies whose products are considered worthy alternatives to Google Maps, and without a doubt, this is true in several ways.
Not only are TomTom’s solutions aimed at most platforms, but they also support CarPlay and Android Auto, so the navigation software can run on the larger screen in the cabin.
But at the same time, TomTom has tried to make the browsing experience as easy as possible with all kinds of extras, and a feature detailed by the company recently is living proof of that.
Integrating contacts into TomTom AmiGO allows you to find a person’s address in your phonebook in seconds, all without having to search for such information.
If you allow TomTom AmiGO to access your contacts, the app can read your phone’s address field and thus determine where each person lives or works. So the next time you launch the navigation app, you won’t have to provide an address, just the name of your contact.
TomTom AmiGO will import the address from your phonebook and determine where you need to go, with navigation set up automatically on your mobile device.
Needless to say, this can only work if you have previously provided the address information of your contacts on the smartphone. So if this field is empty and you want to take advantage of this feature, you had better provide an address for the contacts you browse to most often.
No need to worry about your privacy either. TomTom ensures that AmiGO only reads the contact name, address and the label configured for that address. And, of course, no information is stored or uploaded to a specific server, although the address may remain in your “recent” list in the app.
Contacts integration for TomTom AmiGO is available on iPhone and Android.
