New York Rep. Ocasio-Cortez Recovers After Positive COVID Test

WASHINGTON – The office of New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said she tested positive for COVID-19 and “is experiencing symptoms and is recovering at home.”
The Democratic MP’s office said Ocasio-Cortez received a recall last fall, adding that she “encourages everyone to get her recall” and follow the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
As the country faces another wave of the virus since the emergence of the highly contagious variant of omicron, many members of Congress have reported groundbreaking cases despite being fully vaccinated and boosted.
