NavInfo concludes a strategic cooperation with CAIC
Beijing-based digital mapping firm NavInfo on July 27 signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the automotive industry R&D platform China Automotive Innovation Corporation (CAIC). Under the agreement, the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in the fields of high-precision maps, high-precision positioning, chips, smart cockpits and autonomous driving.
As for high-precision maps and high-precision location services, through the high-precision map crowdsourcing tool chain and data-related cooperation, the two sides can legally achieve updates. high-precision map dynamics and optimize HD map production costs. Therefore, the two parties will provide better, faster and inexpensive high-precision mapping services for various industries.
In terms of chips, the two parties will jointly define, develop, popularize and apply the next generation of chips.
Regarding smart cockpits, they will closely cooperate in the areas of smart cockpit operating systems, cockpit SOC chips, related products, smart travel services, vehicle-mounted big data application, AR creator, from the cockpit AI algorithm. They will form a platform for accumulating technological advantages in the above fields, and rapidly popularize and apply their products.
They will also jointly develop and deploy advanced intelligent driving software and hardware integration schemes to further promote the large-scale commercial application of autonomous driving technology. In addition, the two sides will jointly promote the cooperation program for industry customers, fully supporting the smooth implementation of the integration project through life cycle services including pre-sales, delivery and after-sales.
